The TikTok Business Center is a centralized platform for businesses to manage their presence and advertising campaigns on TikTok. It provides tools to create and optimize TikTok ads, access analytics, and collaborate with creators.
One useful feature of the TikTok Business Center is the ability to give access to partners and agencies. This allows multiple users to manage a business’s TikTok account and ad campaigns, without having to share login credentials.
Giving partners access to the Business Center is important for collaboration, especially when working with social media agencies and consultants. It allows them to directly manage campaigns and assets on a business’s behalf.
Why Give Partners Access?
Giving partners access to the TikTok Business Center allows for collaboration between multiple users. This can be especially useful for agencies who are managing TikTok accounts on behalf of clients. By adding partners, agencies can easily coordinate campaign strategies and content plans across team members. Clients can also be added as partners to give them visibility into day-to-day activities. According to the TikTok Business Center help article, partnership capabilities make it simple to deliver quality services and enable seamless communication.
Who Can Be Given Access
The TikTok Business Center allows you to grant account access to different partners who can assist with managing your ads and content. Some common partners that can be given access include:
- Social media agencies – Agencies can help strategize, create, publish and optimize content and ad campaigns. Granting them access allows the agency team to directly manage campaigns and assets.
- Managers – Managers, agents or other point persons can be given access to oversee campaigns and accounts on behalf of a creator or brand.
- Employees – Full-time employees, such as social media managers or marketing staff, can be granted access to manage TikTok initiatives as part of their job.
- Influencers – For brands running influencer campaigns, they may want to give influencer account access to track performance and enable posting.
Giving partners access to TikTok Business Center enables seamless collaboration, while still maintaining control through permission settings.
Access Levels
The TikTok Business Center allows you to assign different permission levels when granting partners access. The main permissions are Admin and Standard.
Admins have full access and control over the Business Center, including inviting and managing partners, creating and editing campaigns, accessing reporting, and making billing changes. The Admin role is ideal for agency partners who will be managing campaigns.
The Standard role provides more limited access. Standard partners can view campaigns and reporting but cannot make edits or create new campaigns without Admin approval. This role works well for clients who need visibility into their TikTok campaigns.
When inviting partners, carefully consider which permissions they need. Give the minimum access required to limit risk. TikTok recommends having no more than 20 Admins and under 4,000 Standard partners per Business Center.
How to Invite Partners
Inviting partners to your TikTok Business Center account and assigning access levels is simple with just a few steps:
- Log in to your TikTok Business Center account as an admin.
- Find the Partner module under Users, found on the left navigation bar. [1]
- Click “Add Partners”.
- Input the email address or phone number of the partner you want to invite.
- Select the access level you want to grant them (Analytics, Campaigns, Assets, etc).
- Click “Send Invite”.
- Your partner will receive an email invite to join your Business Center.
That’s all there is to it! With just a few clicks you can add partners and grant them access to different modules in your TikTok Business Center account.
Accepting an Invite
Once an invitation is sent from the main TikTok Business Center account, the partner will receive an email notification with a link to accept the invitation. Partners can click on the “Accept Invite” button in the email to be directed to TikTok’s Business Center site.
After clicking the accept invite button, partners will need to log in or create a TikTok for Business account if they don’t already have one. This links their personal TikTok account to the Business Center.
According to TikTok’s support article, the accept invite link in the email is valid for 30 days. If the link expires, the main account admin will need to resend an invitation.
Once an invite is accepted, the partner’s name will appear under “Members” in the Business Center account. Their access level will also be shown.
Partners can start accessing shared assets and analytics based on the permissions granted by the main admin account. There’s no need to wait for additional approval once an invite is accepted.

Managing Partners
As the admin, you have full control over managing partners in your TikTok Business Center account. You can view, edit or revoke a partner’s access at any time.
To view your partners, open the Partner module under Users. Here you will see a list of all partners and their current access levels. Click on a partner’s name to view details about their access.
To edit a partner’s access:
- Click the “Edit” button next to their name
- Adjust their permission levels or assets access as needed
- Click “Confirm” to save changes
To revoke access for a partner:
- Click the “Revoke Access” button next to their name
- Confirm you want to remove their access
Once revoked, that partner will no longer be able to log in or access any shared assets. You can invite them again later if you need to reinstate access.
As an admin, be sure to periodically check and update your partners to ensure your assets and campaigns are only accessible by the appropriate team members.
Tips for Working with Partners
Here are some best practices for collaborating effectively in TikTok Business Center:
Set clear expectations – Have an open discussion about goals, responsibilities, and workflows to ensure alignment from the start. Communicate any requirements or standards partners should follow.
Divide and conquer – Play to each partner’s strengths and split up tasks accordingly to maximize productivity. For example, one partner could focus on content while the other handles ad creation.
Schedule regular check-ins – Don’t just assume everything is running smoothly. Set up weekly or monthly sync-up meetings to review results, provide feedback, and troubleshoot any issues.
Be transparent – Share access to all relevant assets, data, and reports in the Business Center. The more insight partners have, the better they can contribute.
Communicate frequently – Quick daily standups can help keep everyone on the same page. Don’t let days go by without some form of communication.
Document processes – Take notes on successful strategies and workflows so new team members can get up to speed quickly. Standard operating procedures eliminate guesswork.
Be open to ideas – Partners may offer a unique perspective or approach. Keep an open mind and consider testing new concepts.
Handle disputes professionally – Disagreements happen. Focus on resolving conflicts constructively through compromise.
Show appreciation – Recognize partners for their contributions and celebrate shared wins. A little positivity goes a long way.
Troubleshooting Access Issues
If your partner is having trouble accessing TikTok Business Center assets, here are some common problems and solutions:
Problem: Partner can’t log in
Solution: Make sure your partner is using the exact email address you invited. They may need to check their spam folder for the invite email if they can’t find it. You can also resend the invite if needed.
Problem: Access level is incorrect
Solution: Check that you assigned the proper access level when inviting your partner. You can edit their access anytime under Manage Partners.
Problem: Assets are not showing up
Solution: Double check that you granted access to the proper ad accounts and asset groups. You may need to expand your partner’s access.
Problem: Changes not saving
Solution: Ensure your partner has an active TikTok ad account linked. They will be unable to make changes without a linked account. See https://ads.tiktok.com/help/article?id=67662753726271 for help linking accounts.
